Jim Conner

After 37 years with First Command as a financial professional providing wealth management services to retired and active military, Jim Conner began working with Jonathan Wilt at Heritage Group in Marlton, New Jersey where he has resided with his family for the last 42 years. Impressed with the well-known reputation of Lincoln in the area, Jim embarks on this career opportunity alongside his daughter, Carly McCarty, who started at Heritage Group on January 3 as an Associate Advisor. Jim spent 21 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy serving on ships as well as the Navy Special Forces. He met his wife, a Pan AM flight attendant, while both were stationed in Hawaii. Through the years, a major pastime he has enjoyed has been over the 25 different sports he has played. In the early years, he was on international Navy soccer and volleyball teams, and a member of a professional rugby club while in officer training in Atlanta, GA. His abundant volunteer work has included coaching soccer and volleyball and serving as Vice-President and President of the Marlton Recreation Council for 7 years. He was instrumental in starting girls’ volleyball in the Lenape High School District, as well as gaining funding and approval for the two turf playing fields in Marlton. For over 27 years, Jim has also been the owner/director of the Marlton Volleyball Club for girls’ teams for ages 12 to 18 years old.
